What are powder coatings?
Powder coatings are, as its name suggests, coatings in powdered form. It’s an electrostatic process, in which a spray gun is used to apply powder to metal parts or surfaces, before placing the powder coated metal object in an oven. Subsequently, the powder melts to form an even covering layer that, after hardening, results into a protective and robust coating.
Korthals Powdercoatings is the address for powdercoatings in polyester, epoxy-polyester and epoxy. Our powder coatings are robust, highly impact-resistant and yield a high chemical resistance. They offer maximum protection against UV radiation and are easy to clean. Due to these properties Korthals’s powder coatings are suitable for use in various industrial and consumer products. The coatings have been designed specially for applications where hygiene is important and materials or objects are exposed to harsh environments.

Chemical resistant All of Korthals’s powder coatings are very resistant against surroundings where there’s an agressive atmosphere.
Water-resistant Korthals’s powder coatings are water-resistant. No single drop passes through.
Gloss level Korthals’s powder coatings are available in the gloss level of your preference: from dull to glossy.
UV resistant Korthals’s powder coatings are highly UV resistant, therefore don’t yellow nor degrade over time.

Automotive Korthals’s powder coatings are a perfect fit for use in the automotive industry, both on the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
Industry Our powder coatings are particularly suited for use in industrial environments and mechanical engineering, in which the coating may be exposed to chemicals.
