What is an important letter in OSRs? ›

An important letter that's addressed to you. An important letter is given to the player by a messenger, who appears to players shortly after completing Desert Treasure I. Upon reading the letter, players will start The Frozen Door miniquest. After reading the letter, the letter cannot be reobtained once destroyed.

It cannot exceed 12 characters. Punctuation characters such as @ are omitted from the display name when it is set.

I don't think there's a definition as such but I would say it's a letter addressed to you personally about some significant matter, as opposed to an item of “junk mail” which may be personalised to your name and address but which is in effect a “circular” from a charity, a retailer, a political party, etc.

Your previous name will be reserved to your account for at least 35 days, or for up to 6 months, depending on how long you had it. You'll lose this reserved name if you change your name again, the name is removed from game, or the reservation period ends.

The frozen door is located on the south side of the main chamber in the God Wars Dungeon. Inside, they will be greeted by Ashuelot Reis, a nature spirit who reveals that there is no treasure inside, but instead a powerful Zarosian general known as Nex and her army.

The frozen key is obtained from combining the four key pieces received from the God Wars Dungeon's four generals and their bodyguards during The Frozen Door miniquest. The max cape's emote shows the icons for all 23 skills flying above the character's head, and a bar graph stylized like the stats interface icon, with the player floating over it. It must not be deemed offensive or deceptive. It must not contain "mod" anywhere in the name. The user must not have changed his or her name within 24 days. However, redeeming a Bond can bypass that.

As far as i know the purple names indicates leaver status. So yeah you were lucky he did not quit. Those are leavers. Set your matchmaking to "Only High Completion" and you shouldn't get them.

Once players reach the max total level, a different set of fireworks will appear as well. Members can purchase a Cape of Accomplishment for a skill after reaching level 99 in the skill, for a fee of 99,000 coins. All skill capes come with a corresponding hood and a special emote.

The Chaos Altar is a runic altar upon which chaos runes are crafted from pure essence, providing 8.5 Runecraft experience per essence imbued. Players can also use a chaos core to craft chaos runes, which provides 85 Runecraft experience per core. Level 35 Runecraft is required to craft chaos runes.
