Richard Crawshay Hall Sr.

Richard Crawshay Hall Sr., 64, of Hazel, Kentucky, died peacefully at his home on June 18, 2024.

He was born July6, 1959, in Wisbech, England, to Janet and Harry Hall.

His journey in life took him to England, Japan, New Mexico, Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana before finally settling in Kentucky to raise his three children with ex-wife, Gail.

He had an adventurous spirit, which led to racing cars, flying planes, scuba diving, water skiing, music, and likely other activities his children, who are writing this, should never hear about. His quick humor will be dearly missed, but his practical jokes not so much.

Richard retired from Hannigan Motorsports. While not one to boast or brag about himself, he had a brilliant mind that never stopped learning andcreatingboth practical applications and the arts. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Hall; stepfather, Gary Nichols; father, Harry Hall; grandchild, Colby Stevens; and most precious of all, Korkie the Yorkie.

Richard is survived by his wife and partner in crime, Lesa; mother, Janet Nichols of Murray; sister, Sally (JB) Sparks of Panama City, Florida; sons, Richard (Sandi) Hall Jr. of Benton and Joel Hall of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Meagan (Alex) Griendling of Bellevue, Washington; and stepson Aaron (Tabitha) Stevens of Murray. He was driven mad by his grandchildren Josh, Christian, Braylyn, Freya, Khloe, Cameron, Dawson, and Will.

A celebration of life will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Cherokee Park in Aurora. Food and beverages will be provided. Everyone is encouraged to bring their fishing pole.

Kathleen Madrey Fisher

Kathleen Madrey Fisher was born Nov. 17,1948, in Murray, Kentucky.

She was the only surviving child of the late Ernest and Murrell Madrey.

After attending Murray University School, she enrolled at Murray State University, receiving a B.S. in Business in 1970 and an M.S. in Counseling in 1972.Kathleen met Donn for the first time as he drove through the parking lot of the Murray State Christian Student Center in his bright red GTO. She jumped on the hood and, as Donn drove around the parking lot, he turned a sharp corner and flipped Kathleen from his car. Kathleen later said, “The only injury was to my pride!” They were married three years later on a hot June day in the Rose Garden of the President’s home at Murray State. Kathleen and Donn enjoyed 50 years together, and, throughout their marriage, they always owned a sports car.

Kathleen was a devoted mom to her three children, Candice Moore (Justin), Chase Fisher (Julie), and Channing Phillips (Chris) and proud“KK” to Marissa and Landon Moore, Novi and Nash Fisher, and Margo Phillips. She enjoyed watching her children help with Highland Fellowships, being baptized at Highland camps, running crosscountry, graduating from college, and enjoying holidaystogether. Kathleen especially enjoyed celebrating Christmas, her favorite holiday, with family, whether in Kentucky, Tennessee, or a friend’s home in Florida.

She loved her family tree farm where she and Donn enjoyed many long walks. Kathleen and Donn traveled extensivelythroughout the United States and Europe. She enjoyed living on the edge and most of their stateside trips were made with no advance hotel reservations. Travels to Florida sometimes included three kids and two grandmothers.

One of Kathleen’s favorite pastimes was playing games with her friends. She organized monthly game nights which became everyone’s favorite. Being with her friends who shared her love for God while laughing and playing together was a highlight for many years."Faith, Family, and Fellowship,” was Kathleen’s motto. She accepted everyone with an open heart and a perpetual smile. Along with her family, she hosted her annual New Year's Day brunch which became a beloved tradition for more than 40 years. Kathleen’s true joys were worshiping at Highland, fellowshipping with her wide circleof friends, and spending time with her family. She leaves a legacy of faith, love, and joy to her family and friends.

A celebration of Kathleen Fisher’s life was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Highland Church of Christ in Cordova, Tennessee.
