White Trash Candy is perfect for a party. It combines a little bit of sweet with a little bit of salty. It’s abig favorite with friends and family.

In Spite of the Name, it’s Good Stuff

And, it makes a lot of sense to call this trash because you basically dump everything in it – just like the trash. I mean it’s ok to throw in any leftovers hanging around the house. You know, the maybe not enough to fill a snack bowl kinda stuff.

It’s the white almond bark that brings it all together.

One word of caution – this is VERY addicting! You can’t eat just one bite! And, your kids will love eating “trash”.

  • Fruit Loops
  • M&M’s
  • Dry roasted peanuts
  • Small pretzels, twists or sticks
  • Vanilla flavored almond bark

What is Almond Bark?

Almond bark is a chocolate-flavored white concoction that is made to melt easily over candy, pretzels, cereals, and more! This particular vanilla bark slab combines the delicious flavors of almond and chocolate to create a scrumptious white festive coating on the snack mix.

How to Make White Trash Candy

  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a large container.

  2. Melt almond bark according to package directions.

  3. Pour melted bark over cereal mixture and stir well.
  4. After coating all of the cereal mixture, spread it on foil-covered baking sheets and cool to room temperature.
  5. Break into pieces and store in airtight containers.

Recipe Variations

  • Substitute Reese’s Pieces for the M&Ms
  • Use Captain Crunch cereal instead of Fruit Loops.
  • Use seasonal colored M&M’s for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Easter, or a themed party.

  • 4 cups Corn Chex
  • 4 cups Rice Chex
  • 4 cups Fruit Loops
  • 14 ounces M&M's
  • 16 ounces dry roasted peanuts
  • 10 ounces small pretzels twists or sticks
  • 24 ounces vanilla flavored almond bark

Instructions

  • Mix all dry ingredients in a very large container. Of course, you can use a trash bag.

  • Melt almond bark according to package directions.

  • Once almond bark is melted, pour it over the cereal mixture and stir well.

  • After coating all of the cereal mixture, spread it on foil-covered baking sheets to cool.
